Did you know?
The club was founded by a small group of like-minded villagers in 1946 on a site in The Drove as a place to come together and socialise, and first opened on the current Napchester Road location in September 1947. What started as two Nissen huts hosting dinner and dances, has grown and developed over the years into the vibrant venue we have now. You could almost say it is a community, within a community.
Offering our members and their families and friends, a comfortable, safe and affordable place to socialise, we are seen by many of our members as a 'little gem' and a welcome contrast in a world of weekly pub closures and faceless chains.
The Club Members bar had a huge refurbishment in December 2015 and we are always planning for future improvements. We are always eager to welcome new members from Whitfield and surrounding areas, so why not come and have a look…you’ll be glad you did!
